Our Story

A Deeper Connection to Mongolia

Sayat Travel began with Yerlan Shakhabai and his deep roots in the Altai Mountains of Bayan-Ölgii. Raised in a nomadic family, he grew up surrounded by the landscapes, traditions, and people of Western Mongolia.

Today, our small local team creates journeys built around people, culture, and genuine connections. We work closely with nomadic families, local guides, horsemen, drivers, and craftspeople, ensuring that your journey supports the communities you visit.

Local

Small groups and local guides — every guide, driver, and homestay family we work with is Mongolian.

Authentic
