Khuvsgul Lake

Khuvsgul Lake is located in northern Mongolia, near the border with Russia, in Khuvsgul Province. It lies about 670 km north of Ulaanbaatar.

Khuvsgul Lake is known as the “Blue Pearl of Mongolia” and contains nearly 70% of Mongolia’s fresh water. It is one of the cleanest and deepest freshwater lakes in the world, surrounded by mountains, forests, and taiga landscapes.

Khuvsgul Lake is approximately 262 meters deep, making it the deepest lake in Mongolia and one of the deepest in Central Asia.
